Developed with a team as part of a game jam in Spring 2023. My goal for this project was simple - to see through the narrative of a game from start to finish, while learning more about the gamemaking process. We were a very lean team, and while I originally joined as a narrative designer my role expanded to include level design and producing/project management.
Our team consisted of members from five separate time zones, so it seemed best in our short time frame to build a story off of “source material” that we were all somewhat familiar with to cut down on development time. I researched story areas, originated the game concept, developed the cast of characters and lore, spearheaded level design including the creation of the maze and placement of enemy encounters, NPCs, and items, and led the team in setting sprint goals and deadlines.

Scripts for NPC and item interactions included game play directions and were color coded to indicate art, programming, and sound design needs from other team members.
